Machrihanish is about six miles west of Campbeltown on A83, then B843.
The Seabird / Wildlife Observatory is well signposted from the village and is about a mile west of the Golf Club.

Access - Most days April - October
Wheelchair access, dogs welcome, parking for 3 cars, outside viewing platforms, picnic area

Facilities - Seawatching hide, toilets in nearby village, coach parking.

Public Transport - Regular buses from campbeltown.

Habitat - Marine, rocky shore and upland habitats.

Key Birds
Summer - Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Storm Petrel, Twite.
Autumn - Passage seabirds and waders. On shore gales often produce inshore movements of Leach's Petrel and other scarce seabirds inc. Balearic Shearwater, Sabine's Gull, Grey Phalarope.
Winter - Great Northern Diver, Purple Sandpiper, Ruddy Turnstone with occasional Glaucous and Iceland Gull.
